Bear Tracking and Ecology Hike
June 2, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us for a fun hike to learn about bears, their ecology and habitat!
Location: Badger-Two Medicine area of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest
Type: Out and Back
Distance: 4 – 6 miles
Difficulty: Moderate, ~500′ of elevation gain
Join FWP Bear Manager Wesley Sarmento for an educational hike in the beautiful bear country of the Badger-Two Medicine! Wesley will help you identify signs of bears along the trail, and you’ll also learn about bear ecology and the critical habitat the Badger provides. The exact location of this hike is to-be-determined based on recent bear activity, but expect it to be moderate in difficulty, and likely between 4-6 miles. Bring your own bear spray and binoculars.
Meet in East Glacier across from Two Medicine Grill.
